Encyclopedia of the Mud

I prefer to depict my characters barefoot in the mud whenever possible. I also believe it symbolizes a connection to health and nature. Depicting characters barefoot in the mud is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also supported by a number of educational and medical studies.

The International Mud Day

International Mud Day originated as an initiative of the World Forum Foundation (WFF) and the World Forum Event. Accordingly, on this date – June 29th – all children and adults around the world are invited to embrace this motto.

What is mud?

Mud (or sludge) is a mixture of very fine-grained solids and a relatively small amount of liquid, usually water. It often forms through sedimentation, the settling of suspended solids in a liquid.

Can you bath with pigs in the mud?

Yes, theoretically it's possible to bathe in mud with pigs, as they often wallow in mud to cool down and ward off parasites. As long as the mud is hygienically safe and the pigs don't show any aggression, there's nothing wrong with it.
